The Move

After 5 years, I finally left Virginia. I loaded everything I own (w/ Megan's help) in a rental truck and moved 6 hours north to the beautiful Jersey Shore. Now, I know what you're all thinking: "Jersey?! Really?" Despite popular belief, Jersey is not that bad. Ok...my town is kinda bad, but I love it. And the neighboring towns are great. I live in Asbury Park, the home of Bruce Springsteen, which is right on the shore about an hour from NYC. The town is still recovering from a 30 year rough spell. There's a lot of people investing in the town right now so things are getting better on a daily basis. I live in the basement apartment of someone's beautiful beach house about 300 yards from the beach. I'm also one block away from a famous little venue called "The Stone Pony." There's always good music right down the street. Life is good. I'm only about 3 miles from work, so I'm able to ride my bike and I have plenty of time to go surfing after work everyday. I'm really enjoying the program as well. I'm learning a lot of the dentistry they just didn't have time to really teach us in school. If any of you find yourself in Jersey or in the NYC area you've got a place to stay.

Sue and I like the blog, but reading up on all your accidents makes us worry about you. At least it was your head and knee and not your pretty little dental hands. P.S. We both think your friend Megan is really pretty.

Hey Rob, it's me, your old pal Jenny Morgan. A certain Atwood told me about your sweet blog and I had to come read all about your dental life. Here I was, expecting to get some serious dental advice, only to discover that dentists have better things to blog about, like surfing and living in basements. Srsly tho, my toothbrush is covered in blood after I brush my teeth. What does that mean? Is that bad? Anyway, hopefully you'll see this when you update your blog next month and you can let me know. kthanksbye

Hey Rob! Just wanted to say hello, it's krissy, Eric's cool and beautiful older sis! I saw that Jenny left you a comment...that girl is a riot! (as always!) Oh what fun times we had in the 13th ward! Anyway, looks like life is going good, congrats on dental school, that's awesome! Eric said you knew Jim and Sherry from VA. That is my husband's aunt and uncle! Small world!
